David Goins, CFP®
Dave has been a financial advisor since 1993, having been associated with major brokerage firms before establishing Goins Wealth Strategies in 2009. He is a U.S. Naval Academy graduate and served eight years as a naval officer. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations as well as life, health, and variable annuity insurance licenses. Dave is an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network® and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner*.
Service, competency, experience, and ongoing education are indispensable components of the relationship Dave shares with clients. Working with successful families and professionals, he has developed and refined a process that puts all the financial puzzle pieces together for clients as their lives unfold and needs evolve.
Dave is the chair of the Board of Directors of Memorial Health Foundation and is an officer in the Columbus Chapter of the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association. He previously volunteered for the Admissions Office of the U.S. Naval Academy, providing information, mentoring, and conducting admissions interviews with Columbus-area candidates to the Naval Academy.
Dave's wife, Teresa, is an education administrator and enjoys her animals and hosting events at Orchard View Farm. They are proud parents of two adult children, Kyle and Regan.
Kyle Goins, CFP®
Kyle is a 2013 graduate of Capital University and has been a member of the firm since working on a part-time basis during college. He has held the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations as well as Ohio life, health, and variable annuity licenses since 2013. Kyle is an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network® and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner*.
As coordinator of the firm's financial planning and review processes, Kyle analyzes each client's unique situation and then prepares or updates financial plans. He prepares for and participates in client reviews. He is also extensively involved in portfolio management and risk planning solutions.
Kyle is an alumnus of the Union County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute and is active in both the Union County and Dublin Chamber’s Young Professionals groups. An avid golfer, Kyle is devoted to fitness and previously umpired youth travel baseball. He also volunteered as a marshal at the Memorial Golf Tournament at Muirfield Village and the Dublin Irish Festival.
